Printing tips
- Inkjet dye ink runs when wet — pigment ink or a laser printer is strongly preferred. If dye ink is all you have, print light and let it dry fully.
- Many inkjets will feed one sheet of 140 lb cold press if fed straight through; check the manual before forcing it. 90 lb hot press feeds more reliably.
- Printer being difficult? Print on plain paper, tape it under the watercolor sheet against a window or lightbox, and trace with a hard pencil.
- Wash-friendly lines are meant to vanish under pigment instead of outlining the finished piece.
